Sometimes when I'm having a bad week, I like to walk over to McCoys Cigars after lunch and enjoy a premium cigar with friends. It's the only vice I have left.

This is the oldest of the farm cats I think - a battered ginger tom who has been around for many years. He is looking thin and old these days. I make sure he gets food every day and he's lying on top of my car catching some sun today in this shot. I had to shoo him off so I could drive car.

I went to a film night Monday and saw three short films about the work
of a local nonprofit that serves the homeless, street involved people,
and people addicted to drugs (they opened InSite, the only safe
injection site in north america). One thing that cracked me up ...

back then i was standing in a room full of diamonds not knowing which way to turn

zooming in couldnt capture the scene outside today.. the street lights had beams of light going straight up. the air was perfectly still and snowflakes were falling horizontally reflecting the light.
